From sunrise to sunset
I have always felt a deep admiration for women who work the land and face each day with quiet yet formidable courage. These works are born from my desire to honor these women, their stories, and their connection to the natural world. From Sunrise to Sunset is my way of capturing their everyday strength, their ability to transform their surroundings with effort, grace, and purpose.
Observing how these women shape their days to the rhythm of the sun—beginning with the hope of dawn and ending with the reflective calm of sunset—I found the inspiration to tell a story of resilience and profound connection to the earth and its cycles, and to our own as well. In their weathered hands and in the gallop of the horses that accompany them, there is a poetry I wanted to translate onto canvas and into photography: the beauty of a life lived in harmony with nature.
These works are my tribute to their ability to rise each day with determination, to find a greater purpose in the everyday. Their relationship with the land and the horses speaks to me of freedom, of independence earned through effort and the kind of wisdom that only comes from living closely with the elements.
From Sunrise to Sunset is not just a celebration of the beauty of the landscape or the motion—it is also a recognition of their indomitable spirit. I hope these works convey the deep respect I feel for these women, and, above all, serve as a poetic and profound reminder that true power lies in our ability to adapt, to regenerate, and to shine, even when the horizon feels unreachable.
